Change and progress very rarely are gifts from above. They come out of struggles from below. Noam Chomsky.
Given to the violence that permeates our society, Angelica Guerrero uses painting and audio to put within our reach a window to multiple voices and thoughts of people who, from their different circumstances and perspectives, express their points of view about inequality and injustice that surround us.
Angelica's works are on the border between external appearances and the inner knowledge of those characters she has decided to portray. Through her works, we can approach figures from very different backgrounds whose voices, without pretending to have absolute answers, offer us possible paths and alternatives. The decision to undertake these paths now belongs to each one of us.
